sideshow alley ~ Queanbeyan Rodeo

For my 8 year old the Queanbeyan Rodeo was all about sideshow alley ~ a money pit.

With $50 spent in the same amount of minutes, to me it is a waste of money. To my son it is pure bliss. He even managed to charm about 3 free slides on the superslide.

He also managed to win at the balloon and dart game which cost $10 to enter and he won a prize worth in cents not dollars ~ but he thought that was fabulous and it was wonderful to see the joy on his face.

…so did we see any of the horsemanship, bull-riding…..?

Snowy Mountains scarred {canberra photographer}

A few years ago the Snowy Mountains was ravaged by a bushfire.

Gum trees or eucalypts do tend to bounce back with epiphytic growth that can look quite alien.

It is astounding how many of these trees died in that blaze, because I am presuming it was so intense.

I have wanted to photograph these trees ever since.

Every time I get my hair cut I park near this building. I have been using the same hairdresser for about 10 years and I have seen this building go from one of use to one of dereliction.

I wonder at times why this happens. Such a waste of space. I assume that a developer will eventually take over and build an office book without any community use at all.

I hope the PCYC has found a good home?

We love the fact that Jeremy our dog can come and enjoy it, too.

Four Winds Festival, Bermagui on Saturday. Watched William Barton play...amazing!!

Our most favourite place to swim, especially when Lake Cuttagee is open to the sea as it was last weekend! Perfect!
